Serotta Fierte road bikes are nothing short of special! In a world where road bikes are built from extremely light (and sometimes fragile) frames, Serotta built the Serotta Fierte bike frame out of steel! Well a chromoly mix of steel and aluminum, but steel nonetheless. Serotta Fierte road bikes are crafted for those who are looking for a high-end road bicycle from the top bike designers at Serotta, but just can't afford the higher priced full titanium and carbon frames that reside at the top of the Serotta bike lines currently.
But Serotta has been known for many years as an excellent steel bike crafting designer, and the Serotta Fierte road bike is a culmination of their abilities. With that being said, you can find Serotta Fierte road bikes with a titanium seat stay, for decreased weight, although the feeling of riding this Fierte will differ from the all steel models. Several owners of the Serotta Fierte also choose to add a Kestrel carbon fork to their Serotta Fierte, but whether you keep want to go that route is entirely up to you!
So I talked up how the Serotta Fierte is a steel road bike, but in actuality you can purchase the Serotta Fierte in titanium and carbon from the 2009 model year. We have not been able to find a model for the 2010 year, but we're still checking!
